Rafaella Lipschitz is a Research Associate with Orion Policy Institute and works as an Associate Analyst for the Crime-Conflict Nexus Portfolio at the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy. Her research focuses on transnational organized crime, illicit economies, and criminal governance models across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. From captagon trafficking networks to cartel militarization and criminal adaptation amid geopolitical transitions, her analytical work spans a wide range of security challenges. She holds a BA in Political Science and History from the George Washington University.
