Our mission is to promote good governance, advance human rights, and improve policy through high-quality research. OPI seeks to generate practical and sustainable solutions based on multi-disciplinary, diverse, and in-depth scientific research and analysis. We address a broad range of issues including national and global security, democracy, human rights, political and economic development, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and various other issues at the local, national, and global level.
We value empirical research and adopt emerging technologies in data collection and analysis.
OPI publishes editorials that connect policy research to real-world action. We examine complex global issues and present them in accessible terms for readers across disciplines. Our primary audience is policymakers, government professionals, subject-matter experts, and academics, though our editorials are open to anyone following public affairs, including students, journalists, and researchers.
The Institute’s work is supported by a dedicated network of voluntary contributors. The members of our Executive Board and Advisory Board serve in a voluntary capacity, contributing their expertise and experience to advance OPI’s mission.
Orion Policy Institute (OPI) is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 2021, and donations are tax-deductible.
