About Us

Our mission is to promote good governance, advance human rights, and improve policy through high-quality research. OPI seeks to generate practical and sustainable solutions based on multi-disciplinary, diverse, and in-depth scientific research and analysis. We address a broad range of issues, including national and global security, democracy, human rights, political and economic development, peace-building, conflict resolution, and various other issues at the local, national, and global levels.

Position Overview

We are seeking Media/Communications/Journalism interns to support our outreach and public engagement efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in communications strategy, digital and social media, and policy-oriented writing and publications. Interns will gain exposure to the intersection of global policy issues and effective communications in the non-profit and think tank space.

Qualifications

* Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in communications, journalism, media studies, international relations, or related fields

* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail

* Proficiency in graphic design and infographic development tools

* Strong analytical skills and a passion for global policy research and development

* Familiarity with social media platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and digital communications trends

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
