Selcan Karabektas is a Project Associate at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Brussels, working on EU migration policies. She is also a Research Fellow at the Center for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Studies (Sciences Po Grenoble) where she writes articles on Middle East and African politics. She has recently completed her PhD in International Relations from Sciences Po Grenoble/France where she defended her thesis on Turkish Foreign Policy in the Horn of Africa. Selcan has previously worked in the Djibouti Embassy in Ankara. She has published articles in English and French in different academic journals and magazines such as Orient Strategiques and The Diplomatie.
