Dr. Suat Cubukcu is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Homeland Security at Towson University in Maryland. His research focuses on terrorism, extremism, disinformation, and policing. Dr. Cubukcu also serves as a Senior Researcher consultant, analyzing global and regional trends and patterns of terrorism incidents for the US government’s Country Reports on Terrorism. He actively publishes in reputable peer-reviewed journals, including Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, Justice Quarterly, Homicide Studies, Annals of International Criminology, the Journal of Policing, Intelligence, and Counterterrorism, the Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, International Criminal Justice Review, the International Journal of Media and Cultural Politics, and Current Trends in Islamist Ideology (Hudson Institute), as well as in the National Bureau of Economic Research.
